Description
Goya Botanicals Oregano Hydrosol (hydrolat or floral water) is obtained naturally during the first half of unpressurised steam distillation process of oregano leaves and stems. It is 100% natural, pure, undiluted, free from any preservatives, alcohol and emulsifiers. Goya Botanicals oregano hydrosol contains approximately 0.05% to 0.30% oregano essential oil. The major components are carvacrol and thymol and it has a sharp, pungent and spicy aroma.
Uses & Benefits
Oregano hydrosol is a digestive aid, intestinal cleanser and immune tonic. It is also useful in oral hygiene and as gargle for sore throat(1). Recent studies also proved that oregano hydrosol has antiseptic, antifungal(2) and antibacterial properties and it can be used as an antimicrobial agent to prevent the deterioration of food products(3).
